I must not have paid attention when I ordered this, as I was expecting it to be a complete novel. Instead it was a short story. It was a quick read and light. While I enjoy mysteries and trying to figure out "who done it", this was not what I thought it would be.
Wow this series is wonderful! I've read every book. Mimi Barbour writes very well. She describes everything so well that you actually feel as though you are part of the story.
Just like a two year old,I can't stand delayed satisfaction. Yes, I read and truly enjoyed Barbour's, "Spin the Wheel'" but having to wait for "Let it Ride" is painful! Aurora and Kai's wedding was breathtaking and Lisa and Jeff Waters' steamy night together left my imagination in overdrive. A worthwhile read even if it does leave you hanging!
Love is in the air, but first the team must make it through a bank robbery before they can hear wedding bells. Spin the Wheel is another fun romantic suspense in the Vegas Series from Mimi Barbour. I really enjoyed this one. It was filled with girly fun, yet has a suspenseful plot line. If you're looking for an excellent romantic suspense series, read the Vegas Series.
This was a nice hook to get you interested in the series, but I would have rather had it be part of the next book.
Now, this is going to make me have to remember to purchase the next book in the series. Although this "bridge" was entertaining, I don't know that it makes me want to read the beginning of the series. Especially since I see there are other "bridges" involved.
I would rather pay an extra dollar or two for one complete book.
If your a fan of Rizzoli and Isles, you're going to love this series. I can't get enough stories about best girlfriends, and this one did not disappoint. The interaction between the two was both funny and brilliantly crafted. I'm looking forward to Let It Ride which will be released in July. I especially loved the scene with the girls going off to fight crime right before Aurora's wedding! Barbour packed this short with tension and great storytelling.
Another wonderful book in a wonderful series, that I will be reading over and over. I am so sorry the series is over, although I have got nearly all of Mimi's other books to get stuck into. At least I didn't have to wait for books to come out, although I still bought them all separately, apart from the 1st and the 6th which I was given as ARCs.
